Unified Bachelor of Nursing programmes

Te Pūkenga has been working collaboratively to develop three unified programmes: Bachelor of Nursing - Māori, Bachelor of Nursing – Pacific, and Bachelor of Nursing. Unified programmes mean that there will be one programme of study aligned with each qualification, that works for all current and future Te Pūkenga providers and their partners.

Reference groups came together to co-design the philosophies and ngā mātāpono (guiding concepts) for the three Nursing programmes. This work has been used to inform the philosophies and principles from which each programme has grown and developed.

The unified programmes are high-level, broad and flexible programmes that allows each region the ability to tailor the programme delivery to meet their community needs.

Thank you to everyone who provided feedback during the recent consultation process - we have now closed consultation. All feedback will be reviewed and programme documents will be updated in response to the feedback.

The programme is now working through the final stages of internal approval and accreditation and once finalised the programme documentation will be submitted to NZQA and the regulatory bodies.
