Increasing the visibility of our transition pathway

December 9, 2020 | 2 min read

Our transition pathway has been developed to help everyone to better understand the direction which Te Pūkenga is taking as we co-design the future of Vocational Learning in New Zealand.

The transition pathway can best be described as nine integrated workstreams which have been established and will continue until the end of 2022. There are six transformation workstreams, including the Operating Model, Ākonga at the Centre and Academic Delivery Innovation. Sitting alongside these are three Core Capabilities workstreams, including our Governance & Accountability Framework.

Our aim is that after exploring the transition pathway of our website, you will understand the objectives and focus areas of each of the workstreams, as well as seeing the latest news and activity related to each area of work. The detail on the website reflects the reality that the nine workstreams are all different sizes and will progress at various speeds.

Merran Davis, DCE Transformation and Transition explains, “It is really important for Te Pūkenga to openly share details and updates on our transformation pathway activity. Making this information available on our website is one of the ways we can be transparent and invite participation into the work that Te Pūkenga is undertaking as we reimagine vocational education in New Zealand.

“We want anyone who accesses this material to be able to gain clarity around the range of work activities which are being undertaken and have a sense of how the nine workstreams are all distinct but remain closely connected together.”

The transition pathway section will be regularly updated so you can interact with the content that is shared, having confidence that you are always accessing the most current information. Visit our transition pathway now.
