“It’s really beautiful to be in kaupapa Māori spaces. It enhances every aspect of you. You learn more about yourself, how you are in the world. That’s what culture brings.”

Joy - Counsellor Māori

He ara e tūhono ai ki tēnei whetū

Mēnā e taea, rapua he hoa nō tō hapori, nō tō wāhi ako, tō wāhi mahi rānei ka kōrero rānei, kei te ako rānei i tō ake reo, i tō ake arero. He mea āwhina ina he hoa kōrero ōu.

“It's very important for me to feel a connection to my turangawaewae or whenua. I believe, if you don't have a connection to your turangawaewae, you can feel lost.”
