Joe: Culture plays a big role in my wellbeing. It's what you're born with. It's what you have when there's nothing else there for you.
Joy: Culture plays a huge part in terms of understanding and knowing where I come from and the remnants that make me who I am. It’s a really important aspect of knowing where I'm going.
Matt: Finding culture is everlasting – but it's once you choose to put your curiosity towards it, you realise how deep it goes.
Matua Owen: I look at the respective kupu that we use within our culture. They're more than just words. They're actually values that we can live by.
Olivia: My favourite way to connect is probably through haka, or waiata. It's my favourite.
Joy: Learning tikanga Māori and connecting to karanga as a wahine.
Matt: It's being able to add a lot of meaning and intention towards how I conduct my life.
Joy: Culture brings those special gems that you might not get elsewhere.
